GOGLA, the global association for the off-grid solar industry, has launched its new 2025–2030 strategy: a renewed push to work with our members to expand access to affordable, clean energy for the hundreds of millions of people still living without reliable electricity.

With off-grid solar solutions already transforming millions of lives and livelihoods, GOGLA’s strategy focuses on scaling up what works. Centred around three strategic priorities of Convening, Influencing, and Informing, the plan sets out a clear path to unite industry leaders, shape enabling policies and financing, and equip the sector with the tools and insights needed to deliver sustainable growth and impact.

“Our members are powering homes, schools, businesses, farms, and health clinics in places where traditional grids don’t reach,” said Sarah Malm, Executive Director of GOGLA. “This strategy strengthens our role as a convenor and trusted voice, bringing together companies, governments, investors, and donors to help make universal energy access a reality.”

The strategy reaffirms GOGLA’s commitment to amplifying diverse voices, supporting members of all sizes, and deepening connections with adjacent sectors such as agriculture, health, and education. GOGLA’s convenings will be more inclusive than ever – fostering partnerships, strengthening business networks, and uniting the sector to accelerate progress. At the same time, GOGLA will continue to shape policy and finance agendas with trusted data and insights, while providing the tools, standards, and services needed for long-term industry success.

The 2025–2030 strategy affirms GOGLA’s vision to power 1 billion lives and is a rallying call to our members and partners, governments and investors to work together and ensure that off-grid solar becomes a cornerstone of global energy access and economic development.
